Arctek® overlay technology provides strong, robust and long lasting surfaces that help protect timber building components from the elements, impact and wear and tear that can compromise performance and degrade the aesthetic appeal over time.

Arctek Technology by Arclin is an overlay performance solution fused to a wood based panel such as oriented strand board (OSB), medium-density fibreboard (MDF), particle board or plywood in factory conditions. Arctek overlays enhance the performance of wood based panels in terms of strength, weather resistance and wear and tear of everyday use. Wood based panels made from softer wood species gain impact resistance,

surface strength and the overlay protects the panels from dirt, moisture and other potential degrading influences.
Arctek Technology helps extending the design life of the wood based panel substrate, which reduces lifetime project costs. The technology is environmentally sustainable and provides an economical alternative to traditional surfacing methods.

SIP Panels

The costliest material in SIPs and close cassettes is the insulation layer. Arctek Technology is a moisture resistant performance overlay that provides robust protection from moisture ingress for both the OSB or any other timber manufactured board used as a SIP facer and the insulation.

Formwork Panels

Formwork, or shuttering, is a process of creating a mould from plywood or other timber manufactured materials for concrete to be poured into and formed. Arctek Technology is a high performance overlay solution that creates a smooth, homogenous surface and acts as a moisture barrier that enhances the quality of formwork timber panels and the finished concrete works. Due to its high masking ability Arctek formwork solutions are especially suited for rough surfaces like softwood plywood and OSB. Arctek formwork solutions are very robust and allow for a high number of pours.
